I have just seen the first dodgy copy of TTN5 Benelux available for download on the net. It just shows that even the "crackers" are one step ahead of Tom Tom when it comes to release of products.
I will not go down that route, as I believe that if we want software that works and feature packed in the future, then it's worth paying for. But, get your act together TT, because there are others that will use dodgy copies.

What you see are probably the maps that came with the GO 300 or TTM5. Don't forget, these maps are the same across all hardware platforms and can be used interchangedly. Of course we will have the big map build discussion again when someone notices that there are different build numbers out in the wild.
TomTom have probably already factored in the losses through the more technically savvy folks. But that's no excuse for the delay in getting the maps out to the honest users. _________________ Lutz

>TomTom have probably already factored in the losses<
Maybe that's the rationale for the GO series - certainty of getting revenue from each end-user, plus able to maintain higher gross margin vs. a s/w only system for PDAs? |

Yes I've seen these copies floating around, hopefully it will give TomTom a kick up the back side and force them to release the Navigator upgrades.
Currently there's no way to activate them, but it won't be long before a keygen is available. |
