Since buying my TTG last year I always thought it would be nice to be able to display the speedo full screen either over a certain speed or with no destination set etc.
I know the V5 update can make it bigger but I want it BIG |

not sure, but it could work with Hide Map (in Preferences - Map display) and no route set. |

I think turning off the map display simply gives a large direction display instead. ie what is usually in the bottom left corner.
Turning off all theother status line info does not change the size of xx MPH.
Can't make speed as big as the 'distance to instruction' digits.

I Have always wanted to do this. It is better now I have it set to be as big as possible. As I have alloys on my car the car speedo is wrong. TTG speedo is very usefull when going through speed cameras! |

If you don't have a route planned, there are no direction display. I think then the speed is shown instead. It used to be that way with Navigator 3. |

Just wondered whether, if you installed windows on large SD and plugged it in whether it would run? |

Hmmmm. Unlikely. My understanding is that the TTG is a Linux device.

It's definitely a Linux device; two things tell us. First, the GPL obliges them to release the kernel mods that they've made, and they have done so via their website (http://www.tomtom.com/page.php?Page=gpl). Second, if it ran Windows it'd be a lot more expensive! |
