Wasn't selected anyway - but have tried selecting and deselecting just in case - all to no avail! |

Yes same settings in MM. Have tried soft reset and still saying 'Can't open Com port' (or occasionally 'Communication Timeout') |

Mike it connects using 'Other NMEA GPS receiver' at baud rate of 4800 on COM 1.

I believe the make is ZTC (possibly manufactured by CECT in China) - battery is X-ONE - but don't think this is model number.
I bought it on e-bay - item no. 160244338618 if this helps at all.
