Hi,
My 1st post so hi to all.
I have a tomtom one v2 which i managed to drop while on holiday in France, this resulted in a broken screen, which has made the unit completly inoperable.
Best price for repair i can find is approx £70, i was wondering how good these repairs actually are and if they are worth doing?
Would it be a better idea just to purchase a new unit and therefore get the latest maps at the same time. Recomendations on the best device would be well received, i would definately want western europe included on the device.
I am an occasional user, although i really could of done with it yestaday which prompted this post.
regards

I'd have a look here, particularly the refurbs page. You'll get a more up to date model for only slightly more than the cost of the repair. If it came with the Latest Map Guarantee, that would represent a real bargain. There's been some recent discussion about LMG & refurbs, but I don't know what the latest conclusion was, a search may provide all the answers! _________________ Jock

You will probably get a good amount on eBay for the broken one. I was suprised at what I got for a Navman and Tomtom with broken screens. Also sell the accessories seperate, usually will get more that way. |
