Hi,
I have an interesting problem with TT3, I would be grateful if someone verify..
I have installed Full UK maps and MRE onto my CF card.
I plan a route in the UK using UK maps and TT3 works fine.
However when I switch maps to MRE & try to plan a route to Avigon or Paris etc, TT3 responds with its default screen & won't determine the route until the GPS has a reliable fix. The GPS signal is reporting a signal strength of 6... I even switch apps to the GPS app & its looks fine.
If I switch back to UK maps, it route plans as it should..
Any ideas
Many thanks
Tim
Set up:
HP Jornada 568

Upgraded TT3

I have just tried the same exercise.
I got a choice of only one option, to use the map center as the starting point, if you say no then it will not calculate the route till the GPS has a signal. I think this is because I have never used the MRE with the GPS connected, and therefore it has no references stored for this map set.
I would guess that once you use the MRE "live" it will start giving you other options.
There is however a way round all of this, that is to click on the small a-b icon at the bottom of the map screen, and to manually entrer you start and destinatin. If you do this then the route will be calculated. _________________ iPAQ 5550; 400MHZ - 256 SD Card - TT wired GPS - TTN3 UK - PPC 2003 |

Carll,
Thanks for swift reply. To clarify a little, the MRE route I am trying to plan is from Cambridge UK to France, & I have only tried this with the GPS connected.. |
