Why would be my first question? The 760 has an excellent receiver and doesn't normally require an external antenna? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren thanks for reply, the position I want it in ie not stuck on the window,is fairly low down on my centre consul on my C30 ,I do get a signal but keep on loosing it, if I have it in the area where the vents are I do not get a signal,it maybe because of the eletrics above on the screen this car does have auto senceing window wipers and all that stuff. _________________ Iphone x 64gb IOS 11.3.1 / IPhone 6 Plus 32gb IOS 12 beta /Volkswagen Scirocco R 280 bhp /Suzuki Vitara swb vvt+ /Suzuki Jimny special/running Apple Mac Mini / Apple air/ iPhone x /6 plus navigation / Apple car-play |

I'm surprised to hear that as my devices will continue to work when in the glovebox or buried in the arm rest.
If you do need an external antenna then Garmin would be the first port of call, IIRC it uses an MMCX connector? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren, I can put my 760 in my centre glove box and still get a signal but once it goes near the centre control panel near the electics it goes off signal . _________________ Iphone x 64gb IOS 11.3.1 / IPhone 6 Plus 32gb IOS 12 beta /Volkswagen Scirocco R 280 bhp /Suzuki Vitara swb vvt+ /Suzuki Jimny special/running Apple Mac Mini / Apple air/ iPhone x /6 plus navigation / Apple car-play |

One of These should be what you are looking for, similar items should be available from Maplins, although take the unit to the shop and ask an assistant as its not too obvious whether this unit is using mMCX or MCX for the external GPS feed, if it is MCX as I think then This might help - Mike |

MikeA our resident technical boffin tells me it is MCX rather than MMCX for the connector. I'd still recommend getting the Official Garmin accessory antenna, the GA 25MCX. _________________ Darren Griffin |
