|
|
Hi ,
I have downloaded the april database and installed but the speeds displayed on nuvi are wrong, Checked databse in excel and seems fine.
Speed limit 30mph unit shows 19 mph
speed limit 50 mph unit shows 35 mph
Also when loading poi despite selecting add to it deletes previous poi.
Anyone got any idea as to whats wrong ?
Thanks in anticipation |

Yeah... this is the classic "trip you up", it regularly crops up on here.
When you use POI Loader to load the files, It defaults to metres and km/h. You have to change it to load in MPH.
30km/h = 19MPH etc.

That's how POILoader works. You need to lod all your POIs in one go. If you want to add to them you need to load the new ones with all the old ones again. |

Most people set aside a folder on their PC for ALL their POIs.
Then if you want to add a new POI category (or update the speed cams) you just add to that folder and then upload the whole folder to the Garmin in one go. |
