|

Can someone help me here before I go crazy
Yesterday I paired my 930 with my Nokia 95 8Gb on "Thee UK PAYG" Followed the directions for a manual setup and all went well, got GPRS traffic straight away, updates etc all worked for about 5 hours
Then it got stroppy, Keepp getting An Error occurred on the TomTom Server messages or just a refusal to connect at all,
eventually deleted the connection went through and set it all up again, worked fine for 20 mins then its gone back to doing the same again, phone calls connect fine
Data just will not do anything, the 3G Indicator on the phone flashes once to indicate its talking to the 930 then it changes to3.5g (normally does this) then it just goes static and nothing happend
Tried pairing another 3 phone I have really basic unbranded 3 Skype phone and get exactly the same (without the 3.5g logo as it does not have high speed data)
Anyone else had these problems help would be really appreciated. |

When this happens, forgive my simple question, but did you turn the phone on and off again?
ALL my Symbian Nokias used to have problems, BUT, a mere re-boot of the phone would invariably always allow the TT to then talk to it.
So try that - when it next does it, with TT turned on, and phone won't connect, turn the phone off and then on and see.
In fact eventually, I put a program called pyReboot onto my phone to make reboots easy for this very purpose - and thus no pin code etc needed each time.
Now however, touching wood, strangely since updating my N82 firmware to the latest version last Monday, I have not had a single problem connecting since - as the firmware specifically states "improvements for Bluetooth handset and handsfree connectivity".
Now I have said that though, it's bound to fail ** |

OK Still pulling my hair on this one
Have now formatted the 930 cleared the flash reinstalled all software
Reconnected phone
Still get error message when I try and download anything at all from the tomtom server
The annoying thing is I know its connecting
If I change my username and password on the 930 and try to coneect I get error username password do not match error
If I change back to the correct username password I get the your username password have been validated message
But everytime I try to download anything at all Quickfix Weather Traffic I either get Red Erro with TomTom Server screen or unable to connect screen
I have tried 3 different phones and get the same error each time!

OK All Sorted now
It seems there was a hic-cup somewhere, I had added the 930 to my main tomtom account along with my 920 and others
But for some reason it also created a seperate account with TomTom using a different email address (Not sure if this was during a support call to TomTom) anyway the 930T was registered on both. I have had to change it across to the new account with TomTom and take it off my main account now it all works fine again logging onto TT for updates.
SO 18 cups of strong black coffee later all is sorted
Also the map share issues seem to have been sorted as last time I connected the unit downloaded mapshare updates |
