Go 700
App 7.162 OS:2327
I have just purchased, downloaded and installed map Western & Central Europe 7.10 ... all seemed to go fine.....
I now have an odd problem ..
Go 700 appears to work normally, although "boot" time seems longer than previous, when disconnected from the PC. However, when connected to the PC, if I try to access using "Home" I get the message "No maps found".
Looking at the either the "add maps" or the "show contents" pages in "Home2 and the map is listed .... but when I go to "operate my go" .. I get that message "no maps found" ....
Anyone any ideas ? |

Just a guess, but maybe you are missing a file that tells Home where to look for maps?
I've got a "CurrentMap.dat" on a backup in front of me.
Although if I open it in Notepad it says
/mnt/sdcard/Western_Europe/
At the time I had an SD card in the unit but the Western Europe map was certainly on the internal memory, so I don't understand the syntax). |

I have exactly the same problem. I contacted TOMTOM who replied and asked me to copy a file to the map folder which I did but still no map found. I kept on at them through the contact thread but no reply after several days. I therefore wrote to them asking for a refund. I received a reply saying they were working on the problem and to wait 5 days. If I don't get a refund then I will do it via my credit card. |

At a guess, it's Linux speak for mounted component, ie. "My Device/Storage/Map Folder". The sdcard part is backwards compatible with those Devices that only had the SD Card.
As the x20 Devices can use both Internal and SD Card, it can scan both to find the Folder. _________________ Richard
