Hello there,
I decided recently to install Tomtom Home (1.5) and look for any updates to software/firmware on my Tomtom One v2 (black, so not 2nd edition). All went fine and in fact I now have version 7.131 running, OS 2318, GPS v1.21 Boot 5.0500 and I have the UK and IE plus Major Roads WE Map v660.1219.
BUT:
I was offered the Home 2.1 upgrade, it runs fine, but it offers to update my map... to version 660..! and when I did just that, the install failed saying that the file 'UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE.cab' had a file within it, called pna.ini, that meant it wasn't a valid archive and couldn't install. Trouble was by then it had deleted the 'old' map, meaning I had to do a restore from backup.
QUESTION 1: Anyone got any ideas - is this a dud update, should I ignore it and just let it do the voices and postcode update? Or what?
QUESTION 2: If I want to buy the Western Europe map, as I'm driving abroad soon, my 512MB SD won't hold it, what's the best and cheapest way to get this map for my device?
Many thanks!
