I need your advise in GPS logger. I'm looking for a GPS logger for permanent wire to car battery.
My options of wiring are
(a) wire to car batt, the GPS logger will always be powered on.
(b) wire to car ignition, the GPS logger is on when the car is started. When the car is switched off, the GPS logger is switched off.
For option (a), my requirements are;
(1) Able to store at least 80,000 datapoints (includes time, date, altitude, direction)
(2) Able to download logged data via bluetooth, bluetooth is always active.
(3) Able to change the settings of GPS logger via bluetooth through a PDA (nice to have)
(4) Has motion sensor to reduce logging when vehicle is stationary (nice to have)
For option (b), my requirements are;
(5) GPS logger can operate without the internal battery when connected to the car battery. This is important because if the internal battery remains in the GPS logger, it will continue to log data even when the car is switched off.
(6) Able to store at least 20,000 data points (includes time, date, altitude, direction)
(7) Able to download logged data via bluetooth, bluetooth is auto active whenever the GPS logger is on.
(8) Able to change the settings of GPS logger via bluetooth through a PDA (nice to have)
(9) GPS logger is auto powered on whenever the car is switched on, without the need to manually switch on the GPS logger.
I've been reading up on the forums on Wintec201, Gisteq, i-blue 747. Is there any other GPS logger out there that matches my requirements?
If these 3 are the closest match, which of the 3 is best for my need?

See if you can get an old Deluo BlackBox. It does require an external antenna, but otherwise comes pretty close to your requirements list. I have done a review on it a while back.
