Mrs Burnham has just recently got a TT510, and I've had the odd tinker with it.
This is probably a very simple question - but it seems completely unobvious compared with my other sat navs. How do you cancel a route that's been calculated and in progress? |

Tap the screen, click the next button to cycle through the pages. On page 3 if I recall correctly is the 'Cancel Route' button. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You might have to go to Change Preferences and on the last Page is Show All Menu Options. ;) _________________ Richard

Many thanks - that was the one.
Who'd have thought you needed to show all the menu options to be able to cancel the route! :-) |

One of the most useful buttons and it's 'hidden'. Like you never use it! _________________ Tom Tom ONE |

Must admit I've never needed to!
Just the way I use it I guess... I always either complete the previous route or just overwrite it with a new one. |

Well I use it often, on 3 different sat navs, and I think what it boils down to is that in many circumstances, I've got to my destination, but either by merit of slight different in position when getting there, or perhaps some slop in the accuracy of the current position, the unit doesn't actually detect I'm truly at the destination, completely, yet.
Plus, with the TT510, it was due to initial testing of some routes, and then wanting to cancel them.
Still can't believe it's a hidden menu option - I mean it's not exactly advanced or unexpected behaviour. On my 2 other sat navs, it's pretty obvious and easy to do. |
