|

Hi Guys,
I have an i-Mate JAMIN (XDA) with Windows Mobile 5 and I'm having real trouble getting it to connect to a Rikaline 6033 GPS. The GPS works OK with my iPAQ as long as I start bluetooth and slsect it, no pairing necessary with code. It then works fine with TomTom 5.21.
I've now transferred my SD card to my JAMIN and after some re-installation and re-registering TT5.21 is now working but no matter which way I try to do it I cannot get my GPS receiver to pair. It connects for about 10 seconds under Bluetooth manager but then drops out.
TomTom never starts the bluetooth led flashing no matter how long I wait for it.
Help would be greatly appreciated. |

Please update your e-mail, or send me the correct e-mail via PM/ my e-mail button below this post, I will send you a copy of the Mini-S set-up, not quite the same device but it is near enough.
Also please refrain from multiple posts of the same subjetc, it makes tracking answers etc very difficult - Thanks Mike |

I have just had an e-mail from TomTom saying that my i-MATE JAMIN is not compatible with TomTom. I'm sure that I saw it in the compatibility list. |

Insert your application CD in to the computer, use file explorer to locate the voice folder on the CD, open this and locate the engf.cab file, select this right click and chose "copy" from the pop-up box, go to your mobile device in File explorer and drop the cab file into a known location (Memory Card for example).
Using the PDA file explorer locate the cab file you have copied to the memory card and select it, the cab file will then run and install the voice file for you.
If you are using Celeb voices then you need to place them into the folder named VOICES, for them to work you also need a folder called tomtom, both these folders should reside in the root of the memory card (the root is the highest level) each Celeb voice will comprise of three files .bmp .chk and .vif simply copy all three files to the VOICES folder on the memory card - Mike |
