This problem only started a couple of days ago.
The little wired GPS receiver has a red light in it and flashes while searching for a signal and is on constant when it has locked on to a satelite. Its locking on fine but tom tom is showing a message at the bottom saying "No GPS Device"
Highly annoying considering i use it for work purposes. I've tried a soft reset, unplugging the device from the craddle but to no success have i got my sat nav back
Im using it on a HP Ipaq RZ1710.
Any help GREATLY appreciated. |

Both of my wired receivers are the other way round - a steady light when searching and flashing when locked on. Make sure your GPS receiver is getting a good signal by placing it on the roof of the car for a few minutes

Out of interest what GPS reciever's do you have?
Mine is a Fuzion Wired.
Im just guessing on constant is locked on as i have never really noticed it before. Usually picks up signal as soon as i plug the cradle into the cig lighter. |

Ok tried the holding the GPS out of the car on the roof and nothing!
When i plug it in the red light on the gps flashes for a min or so then is on steady red so it's locking on to a satellite - just TT wont pick this up. Any more suggestions? |

Just a thought, but have you reinstalled, or maybe restored from a backup, recently? Might be worth checking that the GPS port is set to what it should be. |
