When the new Mio 269+, with upgraded software (v2) and maps, finally comes on the market in October, will it be a better buy than the Navman 520. |

The ICN 520 is much smaller in size than the Mio 269+, but maintains a similar screen size. The software on the ICN 520 is much better IMO, and easier to use - however the coverage is not as wide spread. With the standard ICN 520 you get UK coverage, where as with the 269+ you get European coverage for slightly more cash. If you want want EU coverage on the 520 you're looking at paying a much larger premium.
Hope this helps.

Budget is around the £400 mark, and will certainly use it in France. I think what I'm really looking for is a GPS which is reliable, accurate and value for money. Asking too much |

Thanks a lot for your help. One last question, do you know what the improvements will be on the 269+ ( v2 software ), over the standard 269? If there isn't a great deal of improvement I'll try and stretch the budget to the 520.
Thanks again. |
