i want to run tomtom on this phone the car phone warehouse says its series 60 in there magazine, but checking tomtom's web site it doesnt show the 910i as being compatible, i thought it was UIQ. tried asking sony's tech helpline and got a woman who had to go away for 5mins to find out and even then said its version 6.0 of symbian, which dosent sound like series 60. |

I do not have 910.
800 is UIQ and I should think 9xx series are the same. _________________ Pc-Mobile

It's UIQ. Series 60 devices are (generally) not touch-screen like the P910i is. I lose track of which version of UIQ goes where, but it's definitely UIQ. |

That's correct - the 7610 is a Series 60 phone. UIQ is typically SE P800, P900, P910i, Motorola A920, A925, A1000, and some others. Series 60 is more Nokia (3650, 7650, 7610, 6600, N-Gage) and some others like the Siemens SX-1, and I think the Sendo X. More information is at www.uiq.com and www.series60.com for the two platforms.
I haven't used either for particularly long periods as phones. I thought the Series 60 boot-up from power-off took a long time until I got an SPV C500, though. |
