I am having problems with a Rikaline 6030 It takes a long time to warm up and drops signals. I have an IPAQ1940 running TomTom 3.7 can I test the receiver with the winfast? if so what settings am I looking for and how do I do it?
I have my gps settings on Rikaline 6010 on com 8 I have tried other settings but they all seem to have the same results.

Winfast may not work out to well, better try Crux_View. The speed is normally 38400, although most BT receivers are autosensing and adjusting to whatever you specify.
You may want to try connecting an external antenna to see if that makes a difference _________________ Lutz

Thanks but how do I go about doing the tests and which external antenna would you fit. Where can I get a copy of crux_view?
Thanks

Start Crux_View, then specify COM8 and 38400, then tap on "open" after a short while you should see the sat numbers and signal levels. using the other tabs you can see more information, or change the programming of the NMEA sequences etc. Once you are done, go back to the first tab and click on "exit" _________________ Lutz

Thanks, but it sounds like I could do a bit of damage going into other settings and changing them. To a country boy like me its all a bit sacry.
any advice on what I should be looking for?
Thanks
