|
|
I have a problem with my bluetooth receiver, I am unable to lock onto a position.
If I go to the GPS screen through TT3 or via setting on my pda, I can see communication between the device & the pda as well as the bars indicating the signal strength for the acquired sattelites, however the bars remain grey & it will not give me a lat / long position hence I am unable to use tom tom.
I have tried reinstalling the gps driver but this makes no difference.
Has anyone experienced this problem - if so any ideas on how to fix it ?? |

it might help if you try to locate your present location on the tomtom map, tap and hold, select more... then reset gps for this location. _________________ tomtom 940 live/tt active dock holder/tt rds-tmc traffic receiver usb |

I have tried it in the car & outside, it clearly picks up the satelites it just does not seem to be able to work out a position.
The unit has worked fine for 12 months +, I had not used it for about 6 wks & have come to use it again only to find this problem. |

Reseting gps to my current position on the map seems to have done the trick !!
It now gives me a position !
Tomtom had said my unit was faulty & that I would need to send it back at a cost of upto 50 euro for repair.
I was convinced it was not faulty as it showed both a signal & communication.
I will see how it goes & post if the problem repeats.
Many thaks for all the input it could have saved me a few quid!!
