Following a soft reset all favourites disappear. This didn't happen with Co-Pilot 4. Why isn't the favourite list automatically saved in CP5? |

Let me guess - you did the soft reset while CP5 was running? Files may have been open that consequently got corrupted. Try to soft reset after closing CP5. _________________ Lutz

Hi Lutz,
thanks for your quick response. I've learned to close CP5 before switch off.
My problem always appears when the message "bluetooth failed to initialize"
appears after switch on. The bluetooth manager is always set to on!
Following this message my ipaq 2210 always requires a soft reset which is when I lose the favourites list.
I've tried the bluetooth tweak suggested on the Alk help pages but the problem is still there. |

It sounds to me like you are not running any proper task management software like WisBar on the Pocket PC. This means that even though you may be tapping the X or OK to close the application, it's not closing and going into background memory. If you soft reset at this stage then the favourites file won't have been closed and any favourites you have will be lost on soft reset.
You need to search google for WisBar, install this and it will then give you an X or OK button at the top right to close apps, and this will specifically force closure of the application correctly and not send it to background memory which is an annoying thing that Microsoft has always done in it's release of Windows CE. |
