Navigon Celebrate 2 Million App Users With 50 Percent Off

Article by: Darren Griffin
Date: 10 Feb 2011

pocketgpsworld.comNavigon are celebrating. They have surpassed two million users of their smartphone app MobileNavigator worldwide.

And to mark this important milestone they have reduced the price of their app on Android, iOS and Windows Mobile by 50 percent for four days.

Existing Navigon MobileNavigator users can also benefit as the price of in-app purchases including Traffic, Panorama 3D etc have all been reduced by 25 percent.

Navigon is a firm favourite here at PocketGPSWorld. The app has a classy look and feel and works superbly on supported smartphones. It stores all map data on-board and so no data connection is required and there are no on-going subscription fees.

We're hot off the press with this so whilst the price reductions are not yet showing, they should soon be updated. For more information visit www.navigon.com.

Well it's really a matter of opinion. I have all the main SatNav apps on my iPhone 4 but always use Navigon I just prefer the graphics compared with all the others, The lane assist is excellent as are the traffic updates. The moment i launch Navigon the traffic updates immediately come streaming into the phone listing all the traffic issues extremely fast you can then decide to avoid the traffic hot spots or ignore them and the software will recalculate your route.

As I stated in an earlier post i even purchased a standalone Navigon i was so impressed with the software. Purely visually there is is'nt any other satnav that compares graphically

It's a very nice app, fully featured, looks great. Traffic is OK, but it's RDS type data rather than HD.

Does the traffic work with the smartphone apps though? Couldn't find this info on their website? When looking at Services for Windows Mobile/PDA it just says "Speed Cameras"?

Going to try the 30 day trial anyway

Traffic is an in-app subscription add-on for MobileNavigator on Android/iPhone.

Can't speak for Windows Mobile as I don't have one.
